Autoskår - An innovative acquisition
Through close collaboration between the business community and the health service, new technology is created for increased patient safety.
OUR GOAL
Contactless solutions for better health
Our ambition is to deliver contactless solutions with a focus on better health, everyday life and safety for users and a better and more efficient everyday life for health workers.
Product development takes place in close collaboration with universities, researchers and the health sciences and medical environment.

What is Autoskår?
Autoskår is an innovative procurement and innovation partnership that covers hospitals in Helse-Midt, the University Hospital in Northern Norway (UNN), and partner municipalities where Malvik municipality is the representative. VitalThings has been chosen to develop and implement the solution together with DNV Imatis, a recognized and established international player in health-related software and technological infrastructure.
INCREASED PATIENT SAFETY AND BETTER WORKING EVERYDAY FOR HEALTH PERSONNEL
The solution represents a significant step forward technologically and in terms of use, where many patients will be able to be followed more continuously in a way that has previously only been reserved for the intensive care and monitoring departments.
Through continuous and contact-free monitoring, one can identify health deterioration earlier, initiate necessary treatment and prevent unnecessary disease development. In addition, the system must also be able to function as a safety net for overdose of strong painkillers. The purpose is to provide increased patient safety and improve the working life of health personnel.
A GENERATION CHANGE FOR PATIENT MONITORING
We have started the work of developing the system that will be integrated closely into the relevant user environments, with a focus on the emergency department at St. Olav hospital from the start. The project period extends to the end of 2023 with the goal of a fully developed sensor system with associated app solution on service phones (eg Myco3 and iPhone4).
Among other things, this gives healthcare professionals an easy opportunity to register a patient with a bracelet scan, handling of the sensor system, alarms and configurations directly through the phones and a continuous overview of health status and vital parameters for patients who are registered.
